Waterseller

Posted in Educationon Mar 14, 2005

So I had a school assignment, and this is the result. We had to take a piece of art from one art period and transform it as if it were done in another art period. I took Velasquez’s The Waterseller of Seville and painted the waterseller in a rococo style. The background and setting mainly came from Joshua Reynold’s Brown Boy. The original waterseller is shown in the first picture below, while my remake is the bottom picture.

Stupid things freshmen do

This is a story from my glory days as a resident assistent in the dorms:

My fellow RA was awaken one morning by loud banging against one of the doors adjacent to his. He got out of bed and didn’t find anything, at first. Then he found a video camera duct taped above his door. He watched the tape and found a record of a group of students plotting to prank a resident by slamming something against his door early in the morning and use the video camera to capture the residents responce. The only problem is, that the video also recorded them pulling off the prank, and the put the camera right above the RAs door.

We all had a good laugh at watching the pranking residents incriminate themselves on their own video tape.

No more blog notes?

Just for the concerned or afraid…

I’ve changed the way I’m taking notes in class. I’m now taking them in capable word processors. In my History of Creativity class, I’m taking the teacher’s notes which are provided in Word format and I’m directly adding to them (in a different color) so that my notes and the professor’s notes are combined.

Don’t be concerned that I’m not taking notes in my classes any more.
