I attended tonight’s basketball game where BYU overcame Wyoming 80-67. It was an exciting game, but with its own frustrations.

Dear BYU Bookstore,
Thank you for providing a great service to BYU students by offering video rentals of great movies. I would like to ask, however, that you lower your price on DVD rentals. I think the price should be lowered from $1.29 to $0.99 or less. This would be more in line with other DVD rental trends. There are automated DVD rental machines popping up all over the place, at McDonald’s restaurants and near supermarkets such as Macey’s. These machines offer rentals for only $1, and offer some of the most popular new releases.
You currently offer VHS rentals for $0.49. This is a great price. However, in these days when DVD players are more common than VHS players, and DVD prices for movies are very similar to the VHS price, the rental prices for DVD should be closer to the rental prices for VHS movies.

I recently viewed the film, The Brothers Grimm, and I was pretty disappointed. I felt that this movie had so much potential, but completely failed at being a great and entertaining film. The basic story was good. Many of the actors were good, except for maybe that one guy who was maybe suppose to be italian, and the special effects were ok. But there was so much of the movie that just plain didn’t make sense. The continuity of the movie was aweful, and I felt like there was too much that wasn’t introduced, such as some of the characters.
Although the movie was pretty bad, I did have a chance to see some of it a second time, and it was better the second time. However, it is too bad that you have to watch it once first in order to be able to see it the second time.
Even the second time through the movie, the friend that I was watching it with continuously asked me questions about who was who and what was going on, and I really couldn’t answer her at all.
I don’t recommend this movie, unless you really want something that doesn’t make complete sense. If you do see it, you might consider doing some research about the actual Jacob Grimm first.

It seems like every day I come up with a few more questions of life. One of my more recent questions is: Are my poor sleeping habits a symptom or cause of other life problems? A question like this can’t be answered simply by flipping a coin. In deed it may require a lot of thought, self-reflection, and even experimentation.
The problem is that these questions come faster than they can be answered. I’m falling further and further behind in answering the questions of life.

I found this web site which talks about university website congruences in 2002. I thought it was kind of interesting.

Mr. Potato Head has been sitting way too close to my keyboard. I found that he had written this and posted it to singlespuds.com:
Single russet potato seeks tender sweet potato. Future Mrs. Potato Head should NOT be good in the kitchen — should not smoke — and should not play with hot oil. Looking for a lady spud with a full set of parts — angry eyes excluded. Call me at 801-422-3912.
