This morning the LDS church launched a new version of their website at LDS.org. I wanted to send out a special congratulations to all those who worked hard on the new design. I know a little bit of what it is like to launch a big website, and it is a great experience (assuming nothing goes wrong).

I have a few friends which have recently started dating people. It is funny, because they tend to loose contact with the rest of the world. They stop blogging. They stop posting to facebook. They don’t call you on the phone. If you see them on campus, they get all excited and say, “we should do something,” but what they really are saying is, “I’m going to spend time with my significant other, but if I ever come back from dancing on the moon, you are welcome to wave at me.” I don’t really get what that means, but it generally goes something like that.
I brought a liter of water back from Oregon, and it tastes so good.
If any one sees the fire department racing toward the chemistry building tonight, don’t worry! It was probably just me forgetting that I left my bagel in the toaster a little too long.
When the weather turns warmer, I want to show classic movies in the cove. More details later, but I’m starting to think about some movies which could be shown. Below is my list. Please comment if you have a movie to add, or if you want to boo a movie on my list.
Darn! I just remembered that I forgot my car up on campus and I should probably go get it right now even though it is late. Darn! I’ll have to finish the list later. Suggestions very much welcome.
Update 30 Jan at 6pm: Ok, I’m back. Moved my car last night, and now I’m back with the following additions:
- Back to the Future
- Karate Kid
- ET
- One of the Lord of the Rings movies
- Life is Beautiful
- The Three Amigos
- The Singles Ward
- The Princess Bride
I think that on particular nights we should combine the classic movie with some other activity like a new release movie, BBQ, desert potluck, or other events. Watching a movie up in the canyon is also an option.

While BYU athletic administrators are out celebrating a men’s basketball win over Air Force in front of a sold-out crowd, hundreds of students are wishing they could have been a part of it all. BYU athletic’s postgame notes record that the game had the 23rd largest sell-out crowd in basketball history. But what did BYU do to sell the Marriott Center out? They spent the week selling tickets at a dollar a piece to anyone who wanted them. Then, when large student crowds showed up to view the game, they had to turn hundreds, perhaps even thousands, of them away because there were no seats left.

I am starting to get tired of the cold. I dream of the days where it isn’t below freezing.
I ate four peanut butter and honey sandwiches today.
BYU basketball plays in The Pit Wednesday night and I hope they win.
I like sleep. I like getting a lot of it.

Happy birthday Heather!
I’m sitting in class right now and I swear that I can smell blueberry pancakes. I want some right now!
I am so glad that it is Friday, I definitely need to get to the weekend.
Today I was thinking about a past situation of mine. For a second I thought:
How could I have been so stupid!?
Then I started thinking about the situation, and I realized that I currently find myself in a very similar situation, making all the same mistakes. Maybe now that I realize this, I can pull myself out of the depths of conundrums and cease making the same mistakes.
