Is it Christmas already?

I was walking through the student center of BYU the other day, and I noticed that they had some of their Christmas decorations up already. This happened more than 50 days before Christmas! It used to be that the Christmas season started with Thanksgiving, but apparently this year it is starting with Halloween. I’ve even seen Christmas merchandise appear in some stores already too.

Converted all my SSL apps to Google App Engine. I didn't want to have to pay for my own SSL certificate any more, and App Engine allows for SSL sites with valid and recognized certificates (on their appspot.com domain) for free.

i love byu. haha they get right into the christmas spirit huh? it seems christmas is too short so we need to lengthen it by starting early!

Thank you for your comment, Mitch. I think one of the reasons they start so early is that all the students leave before Christmas, so they have to start early to get as much of Christmas in before the end of the semester.
