I would hate to bug Whitney, so I did a little bit of research. I turns out that yes they still show a movie, even if no one shows up for it. The reason why is that there is always a possibility that someone will show up late for the movie, and the movie needs to be already running to keep to their schedule. Also, in some multi-screen theaters, they reuse the same film on multiple projectors, so in this case all projectors showing the film need to be running, or none of them can.

Acutally, only a few of these I thought up while driving. The rest took me about a week of incremental editing to get down.

Jacob, how did you keep track of these as you drove? Do you have a pad of paper with you? I usually have many thoughts as I’m on the road, but haven’t found a good way of annotating them all. Right now I save them as voice memos on my cell phone, but often forget to listen to and record them until much later..
