I get so sick of girls thinking that they are God's gift to men. Don't get me wrong, I love all of the quotes stating that women are God's crowning glory, and in theory, Eve was a gift so that Adam wouldn't be lonely. But that doesn't mean that we can just sit and do nothing, expecting boys to fall at our feet and worship us. There is nothing wrong with dressing nicely for dates or even for just hanging out with friends. It's not presenting a false front if you try to look nice. Nobody said you have to be in style or wear clothing you are uncomfortable with; my favorite clothing is jeans and a t-shirt or hoodie, but I make sure that it's not old and stained or grungy. Periodically, guys will come over and I will be crashed in my pj's, and I won't go change for them then, but if I'm going out, I try to look nice. It is important to say that I do not dress up for other people to notice, I dress nicely so that I can feel good about myself and more confident in social situations.
