Squaw Peak bike ride

Today I thought that I would try some mountain biking on Squaw Peak, a few minutes from where I live. I have to admit, that I wasn’t ready for the challenge, but thats ok, because the more I work at it, the better I’ll get over the summer.

Back and forth

Posted in Educationon Sep 23, 2004

Well, today I had this lab due. And so I stayed up half the night typing up the computer code for the lab. I was typing it on my laptop in my kitchen. My plan was to bring to code with me to school and finish the lab up early.

The first problem came because I slept in too much and missed my first class. Not only that, but I missed the time I had originally planned on coming to the lab.

So by the time I finally got to the lab, I went to reach for the floppy disk where I thought I had saved the code, and I realized that I forgot my floppy disk at home. So I walked all the way home (another 25 minute walk), and I grab the floppy disk, and decide to take my bike back to save time. So I finally get to the lab 10 minutes later, put the floppy disk into the computer, and I realize that I forgot to have copied the data from my laptop onto the disk. So I ride my bike home, and grab my laptop this time, and ride back. Finally after about an hour and a half of walking/riding back and forth, and probably about 3 miles, I had the file which I should have had in the first place.
