A few deep thoughts

  • If we fail to plan, we plan to fail
  • Preparation is key
  • The hardest thing to know is how to use what we know
  • Expect good from people
  • We need to improve in our plan to improve

Goal Completed

Posted in Lifeon Dec 14, 2005

I recently completed a very long term goal of mine. Two years and 11 months to complete this goal. It started out as a new years resolution for 2003, and was renewed for 2004 and 2005. But it’s weird because I don’t have any sort of major sense of accomplishment. I kind of do. It’s more of a sigh of relief that I don’t have to renew this goal again for 2006. I mean after the first, and then second renewals of the goal, I felt looser-ish because of my inabilities to accomplish it. I guess I don’t have to feel that anymore. I’m almost scared to make any goals for 2006, because what if they also take nearly three years to complete? I guess I’m going to have to do some long thinking about what goals I might want to make and how I would fulfil them.

Converted all my SSL apps to Google App Engine. I didn't want to have to pay for my own SSL certificate any more, and App Engine allows for SSL sites with valid and recognized certificates (on their appspot.com domain) for free.
