Review of Borne Ultimatum

I recently checked Borne Ultimatum out of the RedBox, and watched this thrilling movie on my temporary home theater system. I’ve seen a number of movies over the Christmas break, and this is one of my favorites.

This movie features ex-CIA agent Jason Borne seeking to find out about the top-secret CIA operations which have turned him into a killing monster.

It is pretty easy to make a recommendation for this movie, as it is very similar to the previous two movies in the trilogy. Those people who liked the other Borne movies will like this movie as well. Those who didn’t enjoy the other movies, probably won’t find much to enjoy in this movie either.

This movie was packed with thrilling fast-paced action, but it didn’t seem as novel as it did in the first movie because it is a lot of more-of-the-same type of exciting action. This movie was great in that it had more plot progression than did the previous movies, and it did a fairly good job at tying up the trilogy story line.

I don’t think they should come out with any more Borne movies, if they did, I think the next movie should be called Borne Again. (laugh, its a joke).

Dear BYU Bookstore,

Thank you for providing a great service to BYU students by offering video rentals of great movies. I would like to ask, however, that you lower your price on DVD rentals. I think the price should be lowered from $1.29 to $0.99 or less. This would be more in line with other DVD rental trends. There are automated DVD rental machines popping up all over the place, at McDonald’s restaurants and near supermarkets such as Macey’s. These machines offer rentals for only $1, and offer some of the most popular new releases.

You currently offer VHS rentals for $0.49. This is a great price. However, in these days when DVD players are more common than VHS players, and DVD prices for movies are very similar to the VHS price, the rental prices for DVD should be closer to the rental prices for VHS movies.

By lowering your bookstore price for DVD rentals just a few cents, you would continue to be the best place around for renting DVDs. You would continue to provide a great service for students who do not have a lot of money to spend on entertainment.

I also am inclined to think that you will not loose any revenue by decreasing prices, because you would make up that cost in an increased quantity of DVDs that are rented. Lowering prices below the $1 mark makes for great advertising, and I’m sure a sub-dollar price would lure in additional rental customers.Please consider this suggestion and lower DVD rental costs at the BYU Bookstore.
