Getting Isaiah’s autograph
by Jacob on Jan.15, 2007, under Religion
A couple of weeks ago, my family and I visited Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah. One of the things we visited was the North Visitor’s Center. The basement of the visitor’s center features displays about various biblical and latter-day prophets. Their displays are pretty good. Below you will see a photo of me and a display about Isaiah. I was trying to get Isaiah to sign an autograph book, but he just wasn’t interested in moving.

Yes I’m moving again
by Jacob on Dec.21, 2006, under Life
I’ll keep this short. I’m moving again. This time back to Utah. I really don’t like moving for many reasons. Packing and unpacking is such a chore. But more internally, I feel like every time I move, I leave a piece of myself behind.
Some of the feelings of a procrastinator are, “there is always time to do this tomorrow.” I think procrastinators especially hate moving because there are many things which cannot be done tomorrow, because tomorrow I won’t be here any more.
Other people hate moving just because they will miss what they’re leaving behind.
I have a long car ride ahead of me tomorrow, so I’ll have plenty of time to think about all of this. Maybe I will have further insights into the psychology of moving.
(Arriving in Provo hopefully around 7 or 8 on Friday)
View from Squaw Peak
by Jacob on Aug.18, 2006, under Adventures
After posting the photo of the view from the Y, I thought I would post this photo of the view from Squaw Peak. I didn’t hike up Squaw Peak though, because there is a road to a nice view point. You can click on the thumbnail to see the full photo.
Oh, and for the record, I was with a rather large group of friends in the afternoon.
Howie’s Root Beer
by Jacob on Jun.04, 2006, under Reviews
Bottled in Orem, Utah, Howie’s Premium Root Beer is some of the best root beer that you can drink from a 2 liter bottle. Root beer is one of my favorite beverages, and I’ve tried many brands, so don’t take it lightly when I saw that Howie’s Root Beer is great. It is smooth, creamy, with the frosted mug type of taste. It is especially great with icecream to make root beer floats.
