Two directions on a string

Posted in Writingson Apr 20, 2005

If you were to take a string
and stretch it out from thing to thing
there are two ends far from themselves
Two separate concepts, neither one gells.

Two cupcakes sweet
which one to meet
With frosting divine
which one will be mine.

Cupcakes I can make
by myself I can bake
Yet hold both string ends
I cannot without friends.

This poem has no meaning
Strings and cupcakes, I’m dreaming
Random and scattered
these words, they are battered.
